After two years of construction, the Gaoyou Yucheng Post Scenic Area is complete! Executed by a team from the Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University, they redesigned the Yucheng Postal Stop, the most prosperous historical district in Gaoyou, Jiangsu province.

This 18,540 sqm site was remodeled in the pursuit of quintessential urbanredevelopment, with the goal of preserving historical elements of the city’s heritage while granting it commercial purposes. Inspired by local courtyards, each building was built using traditional materials and contemporary architectural layouts, creating public spaces that express the rich cultural elements of Gaoyou City.
